About Jason
Senior, independent and grounded in real NHS experience
Jason Flannigan-Salmon is an experienced senior nurse, operational leader and governance specialist who now works independently — providing reviews, investigations and advisory support to NHS organisations, care providers, charities and similar bodies.
After more than 20 years in the NHS — including as Deputy Director of Nursing & AHPs at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS FT and as a Senior Programme Manager at NHS England — Jason understands the pressures organisations face when navigating governance concerns, sensitive workforce matters and regulatory scrutiny.
He brings a calm, balanced and person-centred approach to every commission — focused on learning, improvement and practical outcomes, not lengthy theory. Every piece of work is personally led and delivered by Jason.
